YamminSonny joins The Game Pad

Sonny “YamminSonny” Byrd has joined The Game Pad family as an official streamer and content creator!

The Game Pad’s third official signing may not come as a huge surprise to many, as YamminSonny has been participating in TGP’s “Buzzin with the Boyz” weekly stream since it’s inception. Never the less, now that it’s official, TGP is very excited to have Sonny as part of their team of streamers and content creators.

Sonny “YamminSonny” Byrd started out streaming his FPS gameplay on Facebook Live, but made the move to Twitch in June 2019. Since then, he’s experienced a significant growth in viewership and engagement, and has even gone on to stream some single player titles.

Sonny is a vocal advocate for Mental Health Awareness and encourages his viewers to speak their minds and be open about the struggles they may be facing. In addition to that, Sonny also helps run a Facebook Page called Live to Fight Another Day which helps to encourage and support people facing mental struggles and aims to inspire and support them through sharing stories and communicating about each other’s experiences.

“I’m looking forward to being with a group of like minded individuals who enjoy the nerdy things in life,” says Sonny on joining TGP.

”I’m hoping to raise awareness of mental health issues and how to seek care through gaming.”

TGP and YamminSonny will be working together on future content and projects, as well as continuing his weekly Buzzin with the Boyz appearances.
