Cult of the Lamb: Will you make a Cult in my Name? (Yes/Absolutely)

So, you got sacrificed by some gods to prevent a prophecy. What do you do?

Wait! It looks like your life isn’t over yet. The One Who Waits has chosen you for a great cause. Your task is simple.

Become the leader of their Cult.

Massive Monster takes us on a journey from lamb sacrifice to spiritual leader in their upcoming highly stylistic roguelike RPG/cult management simulator, and if the demo is anything to go by, it promises hours of fun combat and bonding with your newly indoctrinated followers.

After surviving a sacrifice and killing those who dared to lay a hand on us, we are shown our home base, only a puny clearing for now, but with a lot of potential to grow into the temple we deserve.

Cult of the lamb shows a tasteful mix of roguelike combat as we head off to fight the Bishops who tried to sacrifice us, and base management as we have to collect, feed, and keep our followers happy.

Each follower is customisable during their indoctrination, with a wide variety of colours, forms, and designs

The one thing we cannot change, at least in the demo, are the positive and negative traits they display. Each follower will come with a unique combination of traits, and it will be our duty to ensure that the positive and negative ones are used and/or managed adequately.

A follower uprising is a possibility, but my Thorarar shown here has a trait allowing them not to listen to dissidents so they’ll surely keep my little cult well and happy.

While our followers cut wood, collect berries, and work for the glory of the Cult, we will be out fighting the Bishops’ followers, with weapons and abilities we shall unlock as our Cult grows and we indoctrinate more followers.

But with more followers comes more negative traits and more mouths to feed and keep happy. Keeping a healthy killing/home life balance will be essential for our growth and our ultimate goal of freeing The One Who Waits and finally fulfil The Prophecy.

Cult of the Lamb will be fully available to play on the 11th of August, with the charming demo already out for free on Steam. A pre-order is available with a bonus of fancy decorations and new forms including a very cute Cthullu form that is sure to incite you into your own indoctrination.
